Solution:

This knowledgebase article explains how to release multiple applications to General Ledger (GL) at one time.

This feature allows multiple applications to be released to GL at one time. Additionally, Pro Alert can be used to automatically trigger this event so.

To add a new preference to release multiple applications to GL, please follow the steps below:

1. Open GL.
2. Under the Maintain menu, click Release Preferences.
3. Type a preference name into the Preference field.
4. The following message appears:Preference XXXX not found.
5. Click Yes.
6. The following message appears:Copy preference setting from an existing preference?
7. Click Yes if wanting to copy from an existing preference, No if not.
8. Type a description.
9. In the Application field, type the application that needs to be released to GL.

11. Save changes.
12. Repeat steps 9-11 for all modules that are to be added to this preference.
13. Click Save.

To release multiple applications to GL, follow the steps below:

1. Open GL.
2. Under the Transaction menu, click Release Applications to GL
3. Select the preference created in the previous steps from the Preference picklist.
4. Click Proceed.
5. If a Report Output has been defined for an application, the Print Destination screen appears. Select the correct printer and click OK.
6. After the release has been completed, the status screen will display which tasks failed and which tasks were successful.
7. Click Close.
8. Click Exit to complete this task
