Issue
The following error message appears when logging onto Sage Pro ERP:
“Invalid User ID or Password”
The system maintenance tools do not resolve this issue.
Solution or Workaround
One cause of this issue has been found to a corrupted user index file: SYUUSER.CDX. In order to resolve this issue, follow the steps below:
- Locate the SYUUSER.CDX file in the Sage Pro root installation directory.
- Create a backup of this file.
- Right-click the SYUUSER.CDX file and click Rename.
- Rename this file. For example, rename it as “SYUUSER.CDX.OLD.”
- Restart Sage Pro.
- Logon an administrator type user.
The index is rebuilt once Sage Pro is restarted; the logon should now be successful.
