GL Import from External File Optional Multi-Currency Field Names

Q: The optional multi-currency field names to be used in the GL import from external file database file structure are listed using incorrect field names in the Doc on Disk for Sage Pro 7.3 (and earlier versions). All other field names listed in the file structure explanation are correct.

A: If using Multi-currency (MC) and updating from an external file you will need to make sure the following fields are included if updating from a “DBF” file:

  • CURRENCY
  • EXRATE (exchange rate)
  • FAMOUNT (foreign amount)

This is to accommodate new MC features with General Ledger and are not needed if MC is not installed.

These are the correct field names to use.
