Issue
When performing the payroll update, the following error occurs:
Error 1102: Can not create file [driveletter]:[SageProdirectory path]\pr\[filename] Called from: [variablename] Line number: [linenumber]
Solution or Workaround
This issue occurs because the file that is referenced in the error message does not have sufficient privileges to allow Sage Pro ERP to overwrite it. This file is located in the Payroll (PR) directory as indicated in the error message. Generally, this issue can be resolved by ensuring that the file has full read and write privileges orFull Control. This should only be done by a qualified network technician in accordance with individual security protocols.
- Open Windows Explorer.
- Navigate to the Payroll directory of Sage Pro. For example, if Sage Pro installed at C:\Pro 73 the Payroll directory should be located at C:\Pro73\PR.
- Right-click the file that was referenced in the error message and click Properties.
- Click Security.
- Select the Windows user that is currently logged into the workstation.
- In the Permissions field, select Allow for Full Control.
- Click OK.
