Printing checks may result in an “Error 1925 – Unknown Member CMPA_APICTD” under specific circumstances

Issue

This error may occur if all the following conditions are met:

  1. Must be using Sage Pro 7.3 build 3300 ERP with Microsoft Visual FoxPro (VFP) backend (does not seem to occur with Microsoft SQL backend).
  2. Inter-Company Transactions (ICT) is NOT installed.
  3. A payable must be entered and saved with terms that include a discount. If the original payable is then edited, saved, and approved to pay with a discount, it will result in the “Error 1925 – Unknown Member CMPA_APICTD” when attempting to print the check for this payable. (Please refer to the attached cmpa_Error.gif file)
Solution or Workaround

This error only occurs in companies where Inter-Company Transactions are not installed. Product Trouble Report (PTR) 78706 has been entered for this issue and corrected with Service Pack 3 for Sage Pro 7.3 build 3300. Please make sure to install Service Pack 3 to avoid this issue.

The workaround for this issue is to completely void the payable. Then re-enter the payable with all of the correct information, approve it and print the check. This error will not re-appear.
