Q: It has been found that using the master entry pick list in recurring billing is very slow. This KB will provide a possible workaround in Sage Pro 7.3.
A: This issue has been documented under PTR 80037 and has been resolved in Sage Pro ERP 7.4.
Solution
Creating a new index may eliminate this problem. To create a new index, please refer to the steps below.
Important
Ensure that there is a full and verified backup of the Sage Pro installation before proceeding with the following steps.
- Open System Manager.
- Under the Maintain menu, point to Dictionary and click Tables.
- Type “ARRECR” into the Table ID field.
- Select “Index” from the listbox.
- Click Select and type “CUSTNO” into the Index ID field.
- Click Enter.
- Click Add and configure index.
- Under the Transaction Menu, point to System Recovery and click Update from Data Dictionary.
- Select the Accounts Receivable module for the specified company.
- Click Yes to rebuild all indexes.
- Click Update to update files for the selected applications from data dictionary.
The performance should now improve as a result of this newly created index.
