Q: To determine the purpose of the ICILOC.LTMALOC field.

A: The Data Dictionary portion of the documentation describes the ICILOC.LTMALOC field as “Qty Allocated scratch field Quantity in stocking units allocated temporarily -scratch field.” The ICILOC.LTMALOC field is a temporary field used to hold the quantity ordered for an item. It should return to zero after a sales order is saved.For example, create a sales order and add item A2EW with an order quantity of 2. When the line item is saved, a quantity of 2 is written to the ICILOC.LTMALOC field. As soon as the entire order is saved, the value in the LTMALOC field will transfer to the LSOALOC field and the value in LTMALOC field should clear to zero. Note: There is a known issue where a value other than zero remains in the Ltmaloc field. Running the Recalculate Application Balances utility in System Manager should find this problem. If the Update Records option is then used, this value should be reset to zero.
