Can Fields be Deleted or Shortened through the Data Dictionary?

Q: Fields can be added or lengthened in the Data Dictionary. Run the  Update From Data Dictionary function to complete this process and update the tables.
A: The Update from Data Dictionary function does not shorten or delete fields. This must be done manually at the table level.

Important

This should only be done by a Sage Certified Consultant or Business Partner. Create a full and verified backup before proceeding. This should first be attempted in a test installation and the results should be fully verified before implementing in a live system.
