Issue
The following error message appears while printing checks:
Data Session 1 cannot be released with open transaction.
Solution or Workaround
This error usually occurs when printing checks in Payroll and in Accounts Payable. To resolve this issue, terminate or exit the program and reprint the checks via the recovery routine. If this is unsuccessful, employ regular system maintenance techniques, including, clearing flags and reindexing.
It is highly recommended that a full backup be made before printing any checks; this is reinforced by the backup warning that appears prior to printing Payroll checks. If the check reprint is unsuccessful, then restore to the backup.
