“Error 1: File Does Not Exist” Sporadically Appears on One or More Workstation

The following error sporadically appears while using Sage Pro ERP:

Error 1: File Does Not Exist Program Code Causing Error G_PRV.FRX line 35962

This message appears when Sage Pro is not able to write to the temporary directory. It usually occurs when printing or displaying, however, it may appear during any process. These issues are usually workstation specific.

Solution or Workaround

One possible cause of this error is when the temporary directory on a workstation is being attributed as a system folder. This can occur on Microsoft Windows XP and Windows 7 operating systems. To correct the problem:

  1. Access MS-DOS Prompt or Command Prompt.
  2. Change the attribute of the temporary folder to not be a system folder using the following command:ATTRIB -s C:\Windows\Temp
