Export Reports to Excel Will Align Values in the Incorrect Column

Issue

 

Exporting any GL report to excel will align some values in the incorrect column.

Sage Pro 7.4 Build 3400.00 Service Pack 3

Steps to Recreate

All steps are recreated in sample company 99.

  1. Open the General Ledger (GL) application module.
  2. Under the Print menu, point to Postings and click Total Company for General Ledger.
  3. User all filter defaults in the report option grid.
  4. Click Generate.
  5. Click Print.
  6. Select Export from the Print Destination screen.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Select Microsoft Excel from the Export Type list.
  9. Select the option to Open Excel file.
  10. Click OK.
  11. Scroll to the Ending Balance column.

You can identify some of the ending balance values are not displayed in another column instead of the Ending Balance column.

Solution or Workaround

This issue has been reported in PTR 88227 and has been addressed in Sage Pro 7.5.

Important
The following should only be done by a Sage Certified Consultant or Business Partner. Create a full and verified backup before proceeding. This should first be attempted in a test installation and the results should be fully verified before implementing in a live system.

To resolve the issue in Sage Pro 7.4, replace the GLAL02.frx file in Sage Pro 7.4 with a copy from Sage Pro 7.5.
