Install Sage Pro ERP on a Workstation in a Network Environment

Solution:

If the custom installation option is chosen and WorkStation Installer is deselected, the workstation installation will not be completed on the client workstation.

 

The workstation installation copies the following files to the system folder and must be located on each workstation from which Sage Pro ERP is operated:

  • (B2501+) MSVCR7.DLL
  • (B2501+) VFP7R.DLL
  • (B2501+) VFP7RENU.DLL
  • (B2501+) VFP7RUN.EXE
  • (B2500) MSVCR6.DLL
  • (B2500) VFP6R.DLL
  • (B2500) VFP6RENU.DLL
  • (B2500) VFP6RUN.EXE.DLL
  • FOXFONT.FON
  • MSVCRT40.DLL
  • MFC42.DLL
  • MSVCRT.DLL
  • MFC40.DLL
  • MSVCIRT.DLL

If the WorkStation Installer is not installed, run the installation again. When repeating the installation, only WorkStation Installer should be selected and installed. To implement a workstation installation on each Pro Series client workstation, follow the steps below:

  1. Map to the server and Pro Series directory from the client workstation.
  2. Navigate to the Pro Series installation root directory.
  3. Double-click the WorkStation Installation folder.
  4. Within this folder, double-click the Setup.exe file.
  5. Click OK.
  6. The Welcome dialog box appears; click Next to continue.
  7. Verify the network directory where Pro Series is installed and click Next to continue.
  8. Once the workstation installation has concluded, a message appears that the installation completed successfully; click OK to exit the setup screen.
  9. Restart the computer.
