Issue
The keep history button for customers and vendors is now obsolete with the new recalc history function. The notes for this field in the data dictionary state:”Obsolete field, used to create record(s) for this customer. Now the history details are created for all.” This tests out to be true. But when a user tries to delete the customer or vendor they get the following message:
“Keep history is checked for the customer HIST. You must uncheck before deleting the customer.”
Solution or Workaround
PTR 91751 has been entered for review.1. Uncheck keep history for any existing customer/vendor records
2. Create a new rule validation for the Hist field set to a value of “F”. Any new records added will not be checked to keep history.

Steps to Duplicate
Create a new customer or vendor and save. Do not create any transactions. Click on the Delete button. You will get the warning message. If the customer/Vendor had transactions dated in a prior fiscal period and keep history is not checked the recalc history function still works.
