“No counts have changed. Mark item as updated anyway?” Message When Setting Quantity to Zero Entering Inventory Counts

The following message appears when changing the New Qty to zero when entering inventory counts

Steps to Recreate

The following steps can only be recreated on any company except sample company 99.

  1. Export sample company 99 and import the company as 01.
  2. Open the Inventory Control (IC) application module.
  3. Under the Transaction menu, point to Manage Inventory, then click Inventory Counts.
  4. Click Individual.
  5. Select an item from the Item picklist.
  6. Change the value in the New Qty to zero.
  7. Press ALT+S.

The following message will appear:

No counts have changed.
Mark item as updated anyway?

Notes

This does not occur on versions prior to Sage Pro 7.4

 

Solution or Workaround

This issue has been reported in PTR 87898 and has been submitted to Sage Pro Development to be evaluated for future build. To check the status of this PTR, please contact Sage Customer Support.
