On Order Quantity Does Not Update After Editing Sales Order

Sage Pro 7.4 Build 3400 with Service Pack 3 (SP3)

Steps to Recreate

  1. Open the Work Order (WO) application module for sample company 99.
  2. Create a new stock item to be used as a finished good and assign to location WH1 with a quantity of 10.
  3. Open Bill of Materials Maintenance.
  4. Click on the BOM Number picklist.
  5. Select the item created in step 2 from the IC Item file.
  6. Click No to not copy from an existing record.
  7. Select option None from the BOM Header tab.
  8. Add any item as a component.
  9. Save the BOM.
  10. Open the Sales Order (SO) application module for sample company 99.
  11. Create a sales order for the stock item created in step 2 for quantity of 10.
  12. Open the WO application module for sample company 99.
  13. Create a work order using the sales order created in step 11 and set Required Qty for 10 and save.
  14. Edit the sales order and change the quantity to 8, then save.
  15. Edit the work order created in step 13, the Required Qty field displays 8 which is correct, however the On Order field displays 10 which is not correct.
  16. Open Item at Location Maintenance.
  17. Click the Cost/Usage tab.
  18. The On Ord, WO field also displays 10 instead of 8.
Solution or Workaround

This issue has been reported in PTR 89291 and will be addressed in Service Pack 1 (SP1) for Sage Pro 7.5. To issue can be currently resolved by running Recalculate Item Allocation in the WO application module.
