The comparative income statement cannot be generated if the number of records exceeds a certain range.

Steps to Recreate

The following steps was recreated on client data with the following record and data size for the following tables used by the report:

GLBALS = 10,455,685 records/1.45038 gigabytes
GLDENT =  4,572,656 records/2.06926 gigabytes
GLDBUD =  1,446,999 records/1.37997 gigabytes

1. Open GL.
2. Under the Print menu, point to Income Statements, Comparisons and click Same Period Budget.
3. Select a budget code and accept default values for remainder of option grid filters.
4. Click Generate.

The report times out, the client waited for 4 hours and no report appears.

Solution or Workaround

This issue has been documented in PTR 91345 and there is a fix available for Sage Pro 7.5/2010.
