Possible Issues Involving Units of Measure with Specific Inventory Control Transaction

This Hot Fix addresses the following issues. These issues will also exist in Sage Pro 7.4 Build 3400 and are scheduled to be included in the next Service Pack. These issues will also exist in 7.3B Build 3301 and a separate Hot Fix exists for that version. Do not install these files with Sage Pro 7.4 or 7.3B as they are intended for Sage Pro 7.3 Build 3300 with Service Pack 3 installed.

  • PTR 84575 – Transferring items with different Units of Measure (UOM) for purchase and sell may result in incorrect average cost at second location.Important
    This issue was corrected in the Sage Pro 7.4 Build 3400 product release.
  • PTR 84679 – Editing the UOM during an item transfer may result in an out-of-balance posting.
  • PTR 84728 – Manage inventory counts may result in out-of-balance posting if UOM is different for stock and sell.
  • PTR 84734 – Entering cost changes with different UOM may result in incorrect information being populated.
Solution or Workaround

This Hot Fix addresses PTRs 84575, 84679, 84728, and 84734 concerning these issues.

Hot Fix files included:

  • ICCOST.FXP and ICCOST.PRG (fix for PTR 84734)
  • ICPHYS.H, ICPHYS.VCT, ICPHYS.VCX (fix for PTR 84728)
  • ICTRAN.H, ICTRAN.VCT, ICTRAN.VCX (fix for PTR 84575 and 84679)

All files are found in the Inventory Control program directory

Important Notes:

  1. These issues will also exist in Sage Pro 7.4 Build 3400 and are scheduled to be included in the next Service Pack. These issues will also exist in 7.3B Build 3301 and a separate Hot Fix exists for that version. Do not install these files with Sage Pro 7.4 or 7.3B as they are intended for Sage Pro 7.3 Build 3300 with Service Pack 3 installed.
  2. Back up affected program files and data before applying Hot Fix.
  3. Apply Hot Fix in a test environment to ensure proper results before implementing in a live installation.
  4. Verify that Hot Fix files do not overwrite any modifications. If there are modified files, a qualified Certified Consultant familiar with the modifications should be used to integrate the changes.
