How To Add a Salesperson?

Solution: This solution explains how to add a salesperson.

There are two ways of adding a sales person

Commissions Enabled

If you have commissions enabled in Order Entry (SO) setup, you can add sales people in Salespeople Maintenance. To access the screen follow the steps below:

  1. Open SO
  2. Under the Maintain menu, point to Commissions and click Salespeople.

Commissions Disabled

If you have commissions disabled in Order Entry (SO), you add sales people in the Rule File Maintenance screen found in System Manager (SM). To access the screen follow the steps below:

  1. Open SM.
  2. Under the Maintain menu, point to Companies and click Rules.
  3. Select a company
  4. Select Rule ID SLSPERS
  5. Click Values.
  6. Click Add to create a new salesperson.
  7. Click Save.
  8. Under the Maintain menu, point to Companies and click Companies.
  9. Select a company.
  10. Click Appls.
  11. Select SO.
  12. Click Edit.
  13. Check the Use Rule Tables option.

When you open the Order Entry screen, there should be a picklist in the Salesperson field.
