Saving a Credit Memo when using the Enter Credit Memo favorite in GL will display the following message:

Error :  Variable ‘GC_CSTMETH’ is not found.
Error Number :         12
Program/Method : g_clccst
Line Number :        162

The update was not done.

Build Information

Sage Pro 7.4 Build 3400.00  with Service Pack 3 (SP3)

Steps to Recreate

1. Open the Accounts Receivable for Sample Company 99.
2. Create a Favorite for the Credit Memos screen.
3. Create a new item Test, make this resellable and a service item.
4. Leave all remaining settings for this item as default and it to location WH1.
5. Open the General Ledger (GL) application module.
6. Double click the Enter Credit Memos icon.
7. Enter an unapplied credit memo for customer ACP1 for item Test
8. Click the Save button, the following message appears:Error :  Variable ‘GC_CSTMETH’ is not found.
   Error Number :         12
   Program/Method : g_clccst
   Line Number :        162
   The update was not done.

Notes

• This issue appears to occur when using the Enter Credit Memos favorite in GL.
• Error occurs in prior versions.

Solution or Workaround

This issue has been reported in PTR 89083 and will be addressed in Sage Pro 7.5.
