- FEDERAL TAX
The IRS has released new tax rates for 2014. The big changes that they had planned for new rates for the Head of Household and the Married filing separately no longer apply. - SOCIAL SECURITY and MEDICARE
The Social Security and Medicare structure is the same as last year. That is, the employee and the employer rates are the same at 6.2% for Social Security. Medicare will again extract an additional .9% of wages in excess of $200,000. This is on the employee only. - STATE ISSUES

The form is pretty much the same as last year with the exception of the removal of the Cobra payments. The new form is brought over during the Tax Update and no further installation is need. - REPORTS W2
There have been no changes to the W2 this year. Transitional relief continues this year for the reporting on the Affordable Health Care Act. That means that it’s optional. If you desire to report it, we have it available for you. - MAGNETIC MEDIA
New contact information fields have been added to the RA record. Our Mag Media program has been modified to accept these changes. The reporting of the Affordable Health care Act is for the employee’s benefit only, so it’s not a part of the Mag Media.
