Why Does a New Dataview Not Appear on Datadriller Picklist?

Questions and Answers

Q: After successfully creating and testing a new dataview through the Maintain Dataviews screen, it does not appear on the Datadriller picklist.

Important
The Datadriller picklist can be brought up using the F3 key or by clicking the magnifying glass icon in the Sage Pro tool bar.
A: This issue occurs when a dataview is copied from an existing dataview that is assigned as a Business Status Report (BSR) dataview.

Important

The BSR can be launched by pressing the F8 key or by clicking on the thermometer icon on the Sage Pro toolbar.

To correct the problem, the dataview must be manually recreated without using the Copy From feature in the Maintain Dataviews screen. This ensures that the dataview is created with the SYDBRWS.Bsrflag value of “F” and is not a BSR dataview. It should now appear on the Datadriller picklist.

Important
The SYDBRWS table holds a single record for every dataview in the system.
