Why is the BOM Component List in Sales Order Invoice Notes Not Updated With Quantity Adjustment?

Q: A BOM is created and set to Explode on SO Shipment and the SO Note Type is set to “Component list into notes.” When an invoice is entered and saved and the line item quantity is altered, the line item notes that contain the BOM Component Notes are not updated.

A: To resolve this issue:

  1. Delete the line item from the invoice.
  2. Add a new line item for the item, for the updated quantity.

This issue is documented under PTR 82064 and has been fixed in Sage Pro 7.4 Build 3400
