All versions of Sage Pro ERP through Pro 2010 have code that checks for a supported SQL version. If the SQL version is higher than what is in the code for that version of Pro the installation or starting Pro will fail. Pro 2010 will run on SQL 2008 R2 but no higher than that. The SQL version check code has been removed in Sage Pro 2011 to allow for future versions of SQL. Note that Pro has not been certified with any version of SQL higher than 2008 R2
